I don't know about you...

but I do not know where the time goes......
My younger brother... and his family are visiting us from Taiwan... I am spending as much time with them as we can... makes for busy weekends.. because I have to work during the week so our weekends are spent with them..... but they are here for 5 weeks... and this is the bright brown eyed girl that we have been waiting to play with for a long time...

This is Kadiya ... My brother Don and his Wife Kitty's Daughter... she is so sweet...

Today has kind of been a down time day.. if you can call it that... I visited my Grandma in the nursing home with BigK... Grandma has Alzheimer's... and it is bad.. but... I did get a glimmer of recognition when I said Hi Grandma.. it is Laurie.. she smiled... and said something but is almost non communicative... which is another hard thing... then after our visit.. I came home and Greg.. (my DH) told me that my older brother will be arriving at 2am.... ahhhh so had to get their bed all ready.. and make cookies with the boys... ..

So know as BigK is swimming at a friends house and I am sitting here figuring out what to make for supper...when DH brings out Jerk Chicken marinating in the fridge... he made it while I was out... ahhhhh so now I just have to relax and have a drink.......

Where does the time go...

WOW~

we are already at the 10th of July... and you know what that means.. it is reveal day at Scrap~tures..... These kits that Denise put together first lets talk about the scrapbook kit it is so summery... and so fun.. and so easy... I had a great time working with it... once I set my eyes on this kit I knew what I wanted to do... from the Alphabet Page turning it into a mini ABC album for Kevin....to all the wonderful sunny colours and fun pages... with all the fun summer fun we have had so far....

and now the card kit... a few months ago I asked Denise if I could get the card kit along with my scrapbook kit... and I would convert it into layouts.... cuz I am not much of a card maker unless I have to... so this is my second kit.. .and I had fun with the Jillibean button stamps that were included in the kit to create this layout of my cute little button.....

Of course it could not be a card kit with out me creating a card... so here are the ones I made...

WOW... it has been a long time since I posted...

I have not been creating much this last little while..and trust me it is not for the lack of wanting to it is more the lack of time... things have been crazy with our lives lately....... between the boys soccer... DH exam and work....life... and unexpected surprises... wow...
while I don't normally post alot about our lives here just mainly my creative nonsense... I thought I would use this time to reflect on the last few weeks....

Soccer... While littlek's team is undefeated... bigK's team has yet to win a game.. but... they are all playing awesome... and I am so proud of them....

now onto some fun stuff...for me that is...

I will be taking another photo seminar Duncan and Wright.. it is a portraiture workshop with Paul Sparrow as the instructor and a wonderful spot to take photos.. The Royal Botanical Gardens.....

A little life update... my cousin who was in the motorcycle accident is recovering slowly... I am so proud of his attitude... and how he is so positive...and for his new wife... and how she is taking care of him... Love you both...

My Brother... my older brother... and his wife.. have just announced that they are expecting a baby in February... I am so excited to be an Auntie again... how fun...

My Brother...the younger one... and his family are coming home for a visit soon... they live in Taiwan so visits are few and far between... it has almost been 2 years since we have seen them...

My Husband... has been studying for his CFQ exam for his millwright license...although he has just finished writing it... he is not too sure on how he did...we will find out in 10 days.... but I am so very proud of him for even taking the steps to get this far..... LOVE YOU.....

VACATION:.....I am heading up soon to visit with my Brother (the older one) and his wife on the farm...the boys and my cousin and 100 baby chicks will be making the 8 hour drive... YIKES!!! yes I said it 100 chicks....DH is staying home to look after our own farm LOL!!

So that is us in a nutshell... well sort of.. I will be creating soon.. I have a few teachers gifts to finish.. and hopefully some time to get my 105 days of summer layouts done... for more info on that check out Scrap~tures forum here.....

Winner of the BLOG HOP... and LIFE....

Ok I have a winner of the BLOG HOP... yuppp Shannon it is you... I will be sending out a RAK to you shortly....

and now onto LIFE....

Ok so this is really hard for me to post... we have had such a busy time with life right now... Between DH trying to study for his millwright license and the boys in soccer and work and home and weddings.. and weddings.. and family emergencies.. wow when do we have time to breathe... well after Friday... I am making time... my cousin who was in a motorcycle accident on Friday... less then 24 hours before he was going to get married... because someone thought it would be a good idea to turn right in front of him... umm nope not so smart.... it is a miracle that he had no broken bones.... only severe road rash.... which needed over 250 stitches to stitch him up... I am so very proud of him... he did not let this accident get in his way of marrying his love.. he did not complain once... he stood for the entire service and even danced with his bride and his mommy... lots of tears and lots of prayers... he has a tough recovery ahead... but he will be fine.... and their wedding will be one that we will never ever forget...
Love you Mark and Andrea...happy days ahead...

June Reveal 2010 - Scrap~tures Crate Paper - Brook

Oh... I love using this paper... I could not tell you how much fun I had distressing with this paper.. and the look that it gave...

here is my First layout for the reveal..

This is a picture of my oldest son Kurt and he is just laughing away at nothing really but obviously at something... I love his laugh... and I took this picture with the Brook paper and had fun. I took the paper and distressed it with the edge of my scissors and then once I got the look I wanted I went one step further ans used my Mini Mister and sprayed it with water.. once it dried.. I go this look.... I also adhered the Jump, Dance, Play and Run to chipboard and distressed the edges even further...to keep the look constant. I love how this layout turned out...

Here is my Second Layout.....

I kept this one simple with the focus on the photo.. I love the border strips that came with this kit... and I what I did below the picture I just mirrored it and put that on the top corner to balance it... as for the title.. For You Mom this is what Kevin said to me as he was handing me the dandelion.. he loves to give me dandelions... Thank you Kevin...

And here is my Third Layout.....

I loved the distressed look so I had to do it again.. and this layout I did a little bit more of it.. I had this picture of Kevin and really wanted to scrapbook but did not really know what to do until I got this paper.. and it was so perfect for this picture... A Penny For Your Thoughts... If I really knew what he was thinking at this time... This picture was taken prior to journaling... I wrote my thoughts under the boarder at the bottom....
